Resource Centre for Cyber Forensics (RCCF) was established at C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram, as the state-of-the-art research centre for Cyber Forensics, by the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India to pursue Research and Development, Training and Technical Services in Cyber Forensics.
Our mission is to:
- attain self reliance in key technologies in Cyber Forensics area by designing and developing indigenous Cyber Forensics tools
- provide state-of-the-art training on Cyber Forensics to Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) of the country and (LEAs)
- provide technical services like Cyber Crime Analysis, Cyber Crime Investigation, Expert Witness and creating awareness about cyber crimes.
We have developed an array of cyber forensics tools, which after detailed validation procedures, made commercially available for the use of LEAs. Different tools were developed in the following areas:
- Disk Forensics
- Network Forensics
- Mobile Device Forensics
- Live Forensics
RCCF has designed and developed other tools also based on the specific requirements from Law Enforcement Agencies. These tools are the following:
